Tamiflu acts as a Neuraminidase inhibitor attaches itself to the virus. In spite of their replication in the host cells, the flu virus is not able to leave infected cell due to the presence of the inhibitors. This prevents the flu from spreading, thus destroying the virus at its source itself.
